What your extinguishers are due for, and when
One of the four is yours to perform. The other three require a licensed technician. A lapse on any of them is a finding on your next walkthrough.

Check your annual tag date
Three fields. We work out where your annual inspection sits against NFPA 10 and carry the answer into the request form. Nothing is sent until you submit it.
Enter your last service date to see where your annual inspection sits.
Guidance only. Your tag and cylinder stamp are the record of authority.
What we do on a portable extinguisher
Inspection and tagging
The yearly service that puts a current tag on the neck of every unit in the building.
- Pressure, seal, and pin checked on each unit
- Weighed and inspected against the class rating
- Punched tag dated and signed on site
Recharge and refill
Any unit that has been discharged, partly used, or found under pressure.
- Agent replaced to the rated charge
- Valve stem and O-ring replaced
- Verification of service collar fitted
Internal maintenance
Stored pressure dry chemical units stripped, inspected internally, and recharged.
- Unit emptied and shell inspected inside
- Valve rebuilt, agent replaced
- Six year mark stamped on the collar
Hydrostatic testing
Cylinder pressure test at the twelve year mark, or sooner if the shell shows damage.
- Cylinder tested to the stamped test pressure
- Shell and threads examined for failure
- Test date and our mark applied

What happens when you call
No site visit fee to quote. You get the number in writing before we schedule anything.
- 01
You call or send the form
Site address and roughly how many units. If you have an inspection date, that goes at the top of the note.
- 02
We quote in writing
A per unit number and a total, itemised by what each unit actually needs. No site visit fee to produce it.
- 03
We service on site
Most portables are serviced in place. Anything needing the shop is swapped so you are never left short.
- 04
You get the paperwork
Punched tags on every unit and a service record for your file, which is the document an inspector asks for.

The extinguisher rules, written for facilities managers
Most findings at inspection are not equipment failures. They are paperwork failures: a tag that expired four months ago, a monthly check nobody initialled, a unit that was moved and never remounted at the right height.
The guide covers what your fire marshal actually looks at, what each interval requires, and what you can perform yourself without a license.
- How often does a commercial extinguisher need a tag?
- EVERY 12 MONTHS
- Who can perform the monthly check?
- YOUR STAFF
- Mounting height, units under 40 lb
- TOP ≤ 5 FT
- Maximum travel distance, Class A hazard
- 75 FT

Send it, or call and talk to a technician
Either route reaches the same person. If you are working against an inspection date, say so in the notes and it moves up the list.
